The Tool & Die Designer works as part of a cross functional team to design and document die components for various sheet metal forming operations. Someone who works well with a team or on their own. Good decision making skills, analytical capabilities, someone who has exhibited a great attitude, attendance could internally train and develop for this position.


Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create part, assembly, drawing, and files that are needed to document a design so that it can be produced by machining, sheet metal, molding, and manufacturing providers.
Develop mechanical components to meet requirements as documented by the engineering team.
Design custom equipment based on standard products
Review drawings to insure manufacturability and application functionality.
Maintain liaison with individuals and units within and outside his/her organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to his/her field
Perform other duties as assigned

Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Design/Drafting Degree Preferred
1-3 years’ experience as a designer with mechanical focus


Strong mechanical aptitude
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
SolidWorks (Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings)(1-3 yrs. experience)
AutoCAD (Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings)(1-3 yrs. experience)
Creation of technical drawings using ANSI Y14.5 or ISO documentation
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
